Can I share my Steam account with a friend or is there a measure against such things?
I have a really good friend, whom I really wouldn't mind sharing my Steam account with, even though it is linked to my credit card. Does Steam have a measure to prevent account sharing (like blocking an account used by multiple PCs at the same time) or is it safe to do?

Steam actually has a legitimate method for account sharing. The only caveat is that if you share your library, only one of you can use the library at the same time. Even if he was signed in at another location, one of you would get kicked off when the other started a game. It will give you a warning before hand, however. You have time to save your game or do whatever.
