I have a 3320 john deere compact tractor running issues?

The tractor has a 3 cylinder diesel engine with low hours. It will run fine for a while and than just die. Sometimes it will restart but not always. I have changed the fuel filter, cleaned the water separator and inspected all the fuel lines/fittings. The fuel in the tractor is fresh and looks clear when drained into a glass container. The injector pump solenoid "clicks" when the key is turned on and you can hear the electric fuel pump running with the key on. It is sitting with the bucket down and full of gravel and a chipper on the three point so taking to the shop is difficult. Any ideas/help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most probable cause is somewhere there is air getting in the fuel system. Doesn't take much at all to loose fuel supply. Be sure to check that fuel is getting from tank to fuel line. Once had a bug in the fuel tank that shut off supply to fuel line. You can take a line loose and carefully blow compressed air backwards into tank. Be sure you have bled the air out of the new fuel filters too.
