It's a text so it's not coming across how he means it. He is trying to sound sexy and mysterious and funny. It's not working. The "I'm sure I will" is meant to sound hot and smooth, a lot of my buddies use that one, it never sounds right. The "well see" is again supposed to sound hot. The last one is trying to sound funny. He's not really avoiding answers, he's just a bit... Dumb, when it comes to texting at least. In any case you have nothing to worry about, from what you're telling him, he's probably trying a little too hard to not mess things up.
