HELP!!!! Why is my ex boyfriend Standing me Up? (10 POINTS)?

Ex and I was planning to go to a shooting range ( his idea) after i askes him first to go lazor tag. after we met up for coffee. Sought of a second date. He usually ditches anything resembling a second date after a meet up. We planned for a couple of days. Checked out some peices. And boom he said he will be out of state for the holidays and will be working 3 days before that. That dissapointed me so bad. He keep ditching anything resembling a second date after agreeing. Total oposite when we were together. He informed tge time of our first meet up that he was tryingbto travel with family. But they were going out of country..I dod ask if he would make time to see me when he returns . He said "he doesnt like to make promises. Well see" why is he ditching every potential second date. After always meeting up just to sit down and talk when we end up back talking to eachother. It never progresses and it gets me so frustrated. What to do? How to get him to see me twice? A second date?
