Pls help... Relationship troubles...?

So, my ex-boyfriend and I have been broken up since September... I broke up with him on our 3 month anniversary.... By accident.... Here is the story:

So, I met my ex while I was staying with my grandmother over the summer. We became good friends.... Then it became a little more than tht.... Thn it gt more serious, etc. we started dating... Well, we live in two different states that are pretty far apart. We started dating in July. When we went back home, we stayed strong throughout our ldr. But, it started to drive me crazy, the fact that we were both so busy that when one tried to call or text, we couldn't take it or reply, and we never talked anymore, never saw each other like we used to, etc. I had looked forward to our 3 month anniversary. But.... Even though on our 3 month anniversary, I had talked about it ALL DAY non stop, I gt so caught up in us not seeing each other, tlkn, etc. so, I gt sidetracked to the point where I forgot our anniversary THE SAME DAY, so I told him things just weren't working.... Well, today, Christmas Day, I saw him... Like, we hung out.... And at first it was so awkward and painful, we couldn't even make EYE CONTACT. But through the the time we spent together (we had to spend it together for our family get together cuz our families are very close) we started acting like our old selves again until he had to leave.... But when he went to leave, we hugged for the longest time.... And I realized... I REALLY want him bck... But Idk. Wht should I do
