Texting exboyfriend help?
I’ve been trying to play a game of cat and mouse, and I’m stuck on what to say next. At 2 yesterday afternoon, he texted me ‘Merry Christmas’ at around 8 or so, I texted him back Merry Christmas. He replied instantly with ‘hope it was a good one’. A few hours later (3) I replied ‘Yeah I had a great day’ to which he replied (instantly) ‘good, I’m glad’. I didn’t reply to this until this morning, when I said ‘Sorry I couldn’t answer I was with someone.’ Now, the part I am stuck on is his next text, which was NOT instantly, maybe 15-20 minutes later, where he said ‘well I’ll let you be then.’ What do I say to this and what does all this mean? Could he still be interested or did I ruin it?

He either buys into the fact that you're "with someone," or he thinks you're telling him to 'f off. Either way, men don't play like that. If you're still into him, playing hard to get makes him think you're just not interested. This is why hard to get doesn't work. You have to show him that you're genuinely interested, but without being weak. I hope I've helped.
