Do you mean "interrogated" as in hard questioning about a crime by police, or do you mean "interviewed", as is shown on news broadcasts every day on television?

In police interrogations the cameras are usually fixed, at quite a distance from the suspect; they are present simply as a means of making an authentic recording of the interview. In the hurly-burly of a media scrum, TV cameras are indeed sometimes thrust close to a politician's face.
