What does ppm (by mol) and ppm v/v mean?

    PPM means part per million.

    So, Part of a mol per a million mol is ppm by mol

    while Part of a volume (assume a unit volume) per a million volume is ppm by v/v

    ppm has no unit as its dimensionless.

    A better way of understanding is relating it to percentage and the only diff btw both is that percentage is 100 and ppm is one million.

    ppm means 'Parts per million'

    v/v means 'By volume'.
