How do the placebo pills work?
So I'm almost done my first month of birthcontrol and I'm about to start the placebo/sugar pills. Is your period suppose to come the same day you start them? also what if I'm still on my period when i'm done the sugar pills do I just start next months pills anyways?

The placebo pills have no active ingredient and are just there to keep you in the habit of taking something. With some pills you take 21 and then have 7 days taking nothing but you are still protected during this time. It is usual to have some bleeding during the 7 days of not taking active pills but you might not. You should start taking the active pills again on time whatever happens with your period. If you continue to have no bleeding for more than two months check with a doctor.

You will experience withdraw bleeding while on the placebo pills. This will only last a few days. And yes, start the next month's pills even if you are still bleeding. Missing even 1 pill decreases the effectiveness of the birth control.
