What are some good conversation topics to have with a new friend?
I like this guy and I m pretty sure he likes me but all of our texting conversations are basic, boring conversations like "how was your day?". I m actually funny and outgoing but when I text him about this stuff I seem boring. How do I start talking about more interesting things so he doesn t think I m boring?

It's interesting that you think it's you that's boring! Maybe it's him. Especially if he doesn't respond to what you say about your day and how you're doing, or to your questions about his day and how he is doing.
Maybe he is lacking in social skills.
Plus texting isn't the best way to get to know a person.
If you think he has potential to be worth getting to know, you may have to take a risk and arrange to meet up rather than just texting. Maybe just text with something like 'bored with texting, meet?' If he doesn't respond then move on.
