Valvetronic is variable valve timing like the Honda Vtec.

Wiggling the gear stick indicates an xyz position sensor fault.

Get a BMW dealer or specialist hook the car up when trying to start it. I had a car and doing this we found a faulty temperature sensor.

Valve tonic- this is a nonsense name and means nothing. Clearly there is a system in the car, not called valve tonic but called something else, that is causing a problem and maybe needs to be replaced/repaired. Its not called valve tonic though!

Wiggling the gearstick cannot possibly do anything to help start the car whatsoever

what you need is a good auto electrician ..and to leave it with him overnight ...he can then plug in his diagnostic equipment when he starts it
