How to highlight a particular area on a picture, when the cursor hovers on a legend. ?
Say, a picture of a tress is given, and on the corner, a legend is given tablular form wherein parts of the tree are written as- Root, Stem,Branches, Leaves etc., then if the cursor hovesr over the 'Stem', the stem should get highlighted. How to do this. Can we do this by making a GIF??

in html you can have one image overlayed on another. one of them is OPAQUE ie every image is displayed with an opaqueness % value. when you hover over then the hover over event can repaint the image with different opaqueness value. http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_image_transparenc...
