Most chemicals won't pass the brain/body barrier. El dopa (Levodopa) can. It is used to treat Parkinson's Disease and Parkinson's related illnesses. It is possible to overdose on it.
Link says:
"Symptoms of a levodopa overdose include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, weakness, fainting, confusion, hallucinations, muscle twitching, and agitation."
