I would like to find out if anybody has had an issue with rotors on a 2015 f series ford pickups?

Issues? If a brake job is done correctly and the rotors get replaced and premium brake pads are used there should be no problem. Any "problems" with brake rotors happens because of driving habits (always slow stopping) or from not changing the rotors when replacing brake pads. You can warranty most after market rotors up to one year or 12,000 miles.

then why would rotors need to replaced after only 40k miles, under normal conditions? Not good for that manufacturer.
