Dog itched until he bled?
My dog got neuteured last week and when i took the cone off he was relieved and was itching his mouth area a lot. About an hour after his mouth area started bleeding from scratching! Is this something i should be concerned about? What should i do? Please help

He probably had an itch that had been bugging him for a while, so when he finally got to scratch it he just didn't know when to stop lol. I would suggest calling your vet and asking if you should give him Benadryl for the itching. I use Burts Bees anti itch soothing spray from Wal-Mart, or petco and it works for my dog. If not, put some antibiotic sab on it and don't let him scratch if you can help it.

My dog (Jack Russel) had irritated skin---scratched himself constantly. I bought an expensive air purifier (the Whirlpool Whispure) with two filters, and after a year I one day realized the itching had stopped. Good luck to you.

I think it is. You should call the vet because it can be an allergic reaction to a medication or something. My suggestion is to not give him another product to calm the itch because it can always give him more of a itch/allergic reaction.
