If you delete your gmail (your whole email account), will people you shared your documents with still be able to view them?

When I graduate from high school, my school email will be destroyed. But I want to keep all my papers and everything in my drive. So, if I share it with my nonschool email, will I be able to keep it? What if I give them ownership (I believe you can do this when sharing

    The deletion of an email account has no affect on successfully delivered email to another account.

    So, if you forward messages and their attachments to your non-school email address, and you've verified that you can read those messages (and attachments), you're good to go.
