I just watched episode 26 of Death Note.... Can someone please help me get through this emotional trauma?

I just finished episode 26 of Death Note, and I don't care if the rest of them die but at least let L live!! He's the best character!!! I cried... The only death in the whole show that I felt even remotely sad about (except for that one lady in the beginning. She was cool.) WHY!!???!?????!! L WHY YOU WERE THE BEST!?!?!? ...even though it was spoiled for me, it was still so sad!! Someone please comfort me... I don't know if I will be able to continue watching Death Note... //sobs
KIRA I HATE YOU NOW!!! I LIKED YOU AT THE BEGINNING BUT NOW YOU SHOULD DIE!!! Also, am I the only one who would have thought it was better if Light actually felt sad after he killed L?

Oh my sibling in anime. I know of your pain. Stick with the anime and watch as Kira gets what he deserves. I honestly though L's death was fake my first time through. Keep going, little death god. The ending is great

I know! Why the hell did he have to die! He was the best! It's been years since I've seen tht anime and I still can't get over L's death it was completely unjustified :(( after days of wondering why he had to die...I finished it... I figured that "well...I got this far might as well finish the damn thing" *sob*
He still lives on in my heart though XD

this show is like 10 years old now, calm down. L needs to die in order for the story to continue. and for light to feel sad about is death would be out of character. you have to remember, light is a narcissist with a god complex and he will kill anyone that gets in his way. the friendship L and light kind of had is meant to show how far gone light is when he shows no remorse for killing him.
