Anybody here use Recuva?

This program is suppose to recover deleted files and from damaged drives and media cards. The SD card I use in my camera won't upload the photos. This program is suppose to recover the photos and it won't even open the SD card much less read it or recover for that matter. Any ideas?

I'm not a big fan of Recuva for exactly that reason - try PC Inspector File Recovery instead (it's free). It's not the most user friendly program I've ever used but it's powerful enough to deal with damaged media. Obviously there are limits, but it's worth trying.

I haven't had any problems using Recuva ever but that's because I never allow myself to resort to a point where the only copies I have are those inside a damaged card or disk.

If Recuva doesn't work, try another one. If the other does not work, you card is beyond recovery. Throw it away and learn to backup. That is the real solution.

Have no idea about Recuva. But you can try Wondershare Data Recovery it is more professional and support to recover you lost file from SD car. You can try the trial version and deep scan your SD card. It is 100% safe and effective.

Recuva won't work with damage or defective cards. If the memory card doesn't mount (operating system doesn't see the card) then it won't work. If your computer's file explorer doesn't see the memory card, Recuva won't either. Since you say it can't open the memory card, it appears that your memory card is kaput.

Recuva works well for deleted files and drives where the directory table has been corrupted.

No, I do not use Recuva. It often does not work. For me, I use Asoftech Data Recovery.
