Most evenings I see a bright light in the sky. I look east in early evening and live in Georgia, USA. ISS or Venus......does anyone know?

Update:

Thanks for all the replies! If it isn't the International Space Station, where is the ISS located in the sky? All replies appreciated....

Sirius would be my guess as well. It's definitely not Venus, which never appears in the eastern evening sky. But don't take our word for it--load a planetarium program onto your computer and see for yourself. Stellarium is decent and free, at least for the PC: http://stellarium.org/

Depends on the exact time, but in your early evening, the bright star Sirius is currently rising.

    Hello!

That bright light that you see is Venus!

If you looks in that same direction in the next couple mornings, You will be able to see other planets such as Mars and Saturn!
