Should I travel to spain this year?

My BF's family invited me to travel to spain for the camino pilgrimage, but due to the recent terror threats and fears i'm not sure if its the safest right now. What are your thoughts?

Tens of millions of Dutch, German and British people will go on vacation to Spain in the coming months. I'm sure you'll survive.

Most terror attacks happen outside of Europe, so a lot of Europeans have decided to stay within Europe this year to avoid terror. And Spain is actually one of the safer destinations of Europe.

The places in Europe where terrorism is a hot issue right now are mostly France and Belgium, where the integration of Muslims from French colonies has failed the most. And even then it's mostly about their capital cities, Brussels and Paris. And to a lesser degree Greece, Germany and Sweden where a lot of asylum seekers are now holding up.

Brussels may be the capital of Belgium and is the key seat of the Belgian Royal Family and, also the capital of the European Union and if you intend to know it then here is the place hotelbye . Brussels is an amazingly little, easy-going, and human-sized city for all its importance. Unlike anthers town making use of their millions of tourists, Brussels is Belgium's major financial and educational centre, which provides the town an even more workaday feel than other towns. Here, in Brussels, if you would decide to see, you will get a correct sense for Belgian life, especially their fantastic cafe and café culture. Even though Brussels might not have the celebrity attractions of other Belgian neighborhoods, the capital has ample to keep readers occupied for a couple of days with a clutch of world-class museums and artwork galleries, along with quirkier views including the Atomium, and some great remnants of previous structure in the old town quarter.

I have walked the Camino 2 times and I'll be going again on a different route later on this year. (There are several Camino trails, all end in Santiago de Compostela, but they start in different places in Spain. There have never been problems like that on the Camino. It will be safe. Just be prepared to walk a lot. Find out what route they plan to walk and research it. There is a good Camino group on FaceBook, named "APOC"

You will be perfectly safe on the Camino. Every country is at risk from terrorists, even where you live now. But the main dangers on the Camino are exhaustion - because pilgrims tend to walk further than they are capable, and blisters - because they haven't broken in their hiking shoes!

Just make sure that you do plenty of walking before you go, wearing the shoes you intend to take. And walk at your own pace. You will find that people who start together often split up, walking during the day at their own speed, and meeting up at the pilgrim refugio at the end of the day's walk. But you will not be lonely or get lost! There will be plenty of other pilgrims around and you simply follow the yellow arrows.

Have a look at a few pilgrim websites to get a feel for the Camino. One I like also has a forum: http://www.caminodesantiago.me/ So just go and do it. It's the opportunity of a lifetime and you will enjoy yourself.

    Buen Camino

There is no rational reason whatsoever to postpone your trip to Spain because of a possible terror attack. The most dangerous part of your journey will probably be driving to the airport in your home country

It is probably more safe in Spain than where you live.

Oh, please. You're going to Spain, not Syria. If terror attacks were commonplace, they wouldn't make the news.
