My "Check Engine" light is on and is blinking, I have codes, what could possibly be the problem/s?
I have a 97 Sabaru Impreza Outback Sport, when I go up hill or even sometimes starting out driving my light blinks and my car puts. Not the sound but like it stops going and then goes real quick.. The one code was a knock sensor but I replaced that. I have a code, P0302 cylinder misfire, and another code, P0440 evaporative emission system. I bought an air filter because my dad says I need a tune up. But like what could it be? Any help??

It's the P0302 that's making the indicator blink; that's got to be fixed RIGHT NOW. Take it to a shop for a more complete diagnosis. This could be as simple as a bad spark plug.
The P0440 evap code can wait.

Cylinder 2 misfire. Google that number and discover all of the things that need to be checked for just that one number. That is the cause of the blinking light. Get it fixed first, then look up the evap leak. An air filter isn't going to get anything done.

My son's girlfriend had a vehicle with a P0304. We swapped spark plugs between cylinders 4 and 5 after checking some other things. It got a P0305. We put a new spark plug in then cylinder 5 and all is good.

Whatever it is it needs to be fixed NOW as the warning light is now flashing. As you obviously don't know what the codes mean or how to fix them you need to take it to a repair shop. A tune up will no doubt be included in the need to do list.
