Is there a statistical method best used when determining an outlier for three data points?

I'm conducting three trials for 1 condition (of a parameter). And it appears that some of these trial data differ greatly from the other two trial data. Is there a best method (if any) for determining the outlier of the three data or would Standard Deviation suffice?

I wonder if we can use a word "statistic" having 3 data points.

I'm afraid it is useless :(

On the other side, there is a lot of methods to determine outliers.

You should firstly specify the science area since this is not a pure math problem.

Another I can say I have some scripts on this problem in Scilab (which is free analog for MatLab) written by myself. Not for 3 points, of course.
