Does anyone know any good indie tv shows (shows that are low budget and not very popular)?

One of the best I can think of was a Canadian comedy called "Our Hero" which ran from 2000 to 2002.
It was original, funny, and yet also thought-provoking and deeply moving. It's a crime that it didn't / doesn't get broadcast more even now.
