Name for WWI Character?

The character is a upper class caucasian soldier who was killed during the First World War; he isn't living during the book but his influence is a prevalent theme.

He is a strong guy, powerful, but disobedient to his parents wishes for his future; he beats to his drum.

I haven't made physical characteristics but his sister has pinned strawberry blonde curls, green eyes, short with a runner's body. The mother is similar to her daughter, with a broad shouldered, brunette Father.

Thank you!!

Update:

Update: The last name is Adair (Uh-Dare) if that helps!

Children are named by their parents. What were his parents wishes for him?

I suggest looking up the most common first names that were for the 18-20 years before the war. So, perhaps:

    Robert

    William

    Franklin

Also, you might try a family name as a first name, like Kennington.

First, figure out what year he was born in. Then Google 'ssa baby names' and that website should help you out. If you put in the year that he was born, it'll give you the top 1000 names of that year (in America). It goes all the way back to 1880 (90?) Either way, it is a website that has helped me many times before whenever I do historical fiction, since it gives you accurate names that someone born in that year would have.
