hard drive enclosures?
I'm looking at external hard drive enclosures right now. What brands do you recommend and what features do I need to look for if I'm putting an HDD in it, rather than an SSD?

Hi there Casey,
I can't really recommend you a specific brand.
You need to look for an enclosure that supports USB 3.0. Depending on your HDD(2.5'' or 3.5''), you should get 2.5''(powered by only USB cable) or 3.5''(you will need a separate power cord for that one) enclosure.
Let me know in case you have some more questions,

Hard drives are 3.5 inch, SSDs are 2.5 inch.
There's the speed of the SATA port, mechanical drives are usually around SATA II speed while SSDs are around SATA III speed.
Other than that I'd just look at the reviews on the enclosure. I usually at least check Newegg and Amazon's reviews.
