    It's obviously not an addiction in the same sense as say, opiates, but anything can become an addiction if the person ends up being unable to do without it.

    It seems you are very opinionated on this. So am I, and I think it is an addiction. People with addictive personalities can get addicted to anything, be it booze, drugs, sex or even porn.
