Is playstation VR worth it?

Playstation VR will be an add-on for the PS4. We don't know what the price will be yet or when it will be available. We don't even know what games or other content will be available for it either.

Since it's not out yet, it's hard to say if it's worth buying or not. That said, the Playstation VR still requires you to use a controller - whether that's the Playstation Move, or the normal Dualshock4 will depend on the actual game you're playing.

As for the PS5, that's not even predicted to hit shelves until 2020 at the earliest so don't even worry about it at this point. Even so, I would assume the PS5 would still use a standard controller. Those aren't going anywhere, even if VR turns out to be as big a hit as some folks hope it will be.

I don't know whether you think Playstation VR is worth it, you have to decide. I used an Oculus Rift DK2 and while the technology was impressive and everything about it was immersive, the resolution was so poor it ruined the experience. That was 1080p, I don't know what the PSVR's resolution is, but I question the PS4's ability to even do 1080p @ 120fps (60fps per eye), so I bet you'll have 1080p @ 60fps (30fps per eye) which will mean you'll not only have the awful resolution but it will also look choppy and blurred when you move in the game.

It's something you wear on your head and it will be connected to the PS4 via a cable or wirelessly. Yes you would still use the controller unless you can invest in a £20,000 moving floor (which the PS4 won't support anyway) and I can't see anything replacing controllers ever. Kinects and Moves have been out for years now and everyone still uses controllers, VR is not about to change that.

No one knows nothing about the ps5 yet except for the people that are making it, and for me PS VR is worth it, but that's because I love virtual reality games I used with Samsung Gear and Google Cardboard , and you can add the PS VR with the PS Camera and PS move, which means head tracking And the feeling that your insid ethe game and also there's many more periphirals that you can add to the PS VR like a face mask and a Suit, but that's all in choice and not mandatory, and PS VR is an attachment that can be hooked up to the PS4 and will have it's own processing unit that you may connect with USB and from that unit you connect the PS VR and your done, you enjoy your virtual gaming!

VR still needs some form of way to interact with the game world. You know, exactly like what a controller does.
