why is Russia associated with the bear ?any legend any story behind it?

    It all started when, seemsm in XVII Russian bear tamers found that in England they can get good money, it even became some popular. Because England locate pretty far, there were a few contacts and common English population known russians by trained bears. It used in propaganda caricature at each military or political conflict. Later other contries pick up this image in their propoganda.
