I am curious about why people don't register to vote. Share what others have told you &/or your reason for not being a registered voter?
These answers are so disheartening especially when you consider that Caucasian men are the only ones who didn't die for the right to vote

According to a recent Pew poll, the top reasons people gave for not registering are:
No time to do it/Just haven't done it
Recently moved
Don't care about politics
No confidence in government
Not a US citizen

I have heard that people don't want to get called for jury duty, so they don't register to vote to try to stay off jury pool lists. Many places have switched to using driver's license info to get jury pool list because of this.

Registered voter since 1981.
YEP, I had to show my photo ID. when I registered.
I'm sure that I was grossing around $20,000.00 back then.
Strange, I could afford a PHOTO drivers license, isn't IT?

Because I don't know enough about politics to vote for someone who might not deserve it, also magority of the people who get elected don't do what they say they will.

Because of all the money that has been given to both Republican and Democrat parties, it has come from 178 families, who are the richest people in this nation.
So folks in this nation understand that our voices no longer matter in elections.

a. ignorant of the issues and haven't taken the time to learn about them
b. hiding from the law or an immigration issue
c. past criminal record
d. just too lazy
e. disgruntled with the American government and do not want either party member in office.
