Worcester greenstar oil boiler, burner cut out comes on.?
will run fine , when the burner stops when water and heating water is up to heat , the burner will stop as normal, but on start up the burner will cut out. on pressing the reset button ,the lockout light goes out , nothing happens , and burner cut out light comes on . switch power off. leave for 10 to 15 minutes and will start up and run when you press the reset button. then back to square one. its 18 months old now and been trouble free till now

It could be time for a maintenance visit. Deposits of soot on the burners can cause cut outs and no boiler, especially oil, should be left for more than 12 months without a routine servicing. it's worth paying for as it will extend the life of your boiler by many years to do it regularly.

thanks, was serviced last October , took burner out and next to nothing there. thank for the pointer thou.
if I switch if off before it tries to start again , leave it of for a bit , no problems , only when you leave it on will it lock out
