2006 Infiniti G35 coupe transmission problems?

My infiniti g35 won't up shift to 5th gear.It has an automatic transmission. What do you think is the problem? How much do you think it will cost to fix?

    I also had a 2006 infinity. It also had transmission problems. I ultimately had to have the transmission rebuilt. I also had a nissan maxima, which is essentially a lower class infinity. It also had transmission issues, and I had to have a new transmission installed. I'm done with nissans.

    Hi so this is typical given this is a 10 year old car. designed rot last just 8 years or 100k miles which ever came first.

    You won't know until you go to the dealer and they read the transmission codes stored in the PCM.

    could be a solenoid problem. stuck shift valve in valve body. or internal problem. estimates anywhere from 400-3,000 dollars. find local shop at ATRA.COM for road test to determine the problem
