Gravity has been in existence since the beginning, and so the "contributions to spacetime", orbit with those mass collections.

No, it is well known that the line-of-action between the Sun and Jupiter (so the same for Sun and Earth) is aimed exactly where they are instantaneously. Because the planets are responding to the shape of spacetime, and that shape is not changing.

I think you were trying to get to a speed of gravity, like with the recent gravity wave detection. That is a different beast, and that speed is expected to be c.
