Prom trouble, any help?

So no one has asked me to prom yet, which sucks since so many girls are already buying their prom dress. I have like no guy friends. There's this guy from Church I want to ask, but my parents always leave early from Church & get mad if I don't leave with them so I can't ask him. I have him as a friend on Facebook, but I would feel like a coward asking him on there. Plus I've never really talked to a guy without him talking to me first. I really want to go to prom, and it's my Senior year & I haven't gone before. Most of my friends I don't talk to anymore, because I like never see them so I can' t ask them to hook me up. What should I do?
