How do you connect the internet to Wii U?
I do have Wifi, but I don't know how to set up an internet connection to the Wii U. I want to do this so I can download games to the Wii U. What should I do?

Go to the setup area and under network, enter the information for your local wifi network - SSID and password.
It's no different than configuring wifi for your phone.
