Dahmer was a murderer. He had mental issues. To word it the way in which you did leads me to believe that this isn't really a question you had, but a platform in which to stigmatize the LGBT community as pedophiles.
If you really were asking this question for an answer you would have asked it as "Why was Jeffrey Dahmer, the serial killer, not sentenced to death?"
You know full well that using him to describe a group of people is really reaching. That is like if I asked a question " Ted Bundy, the heterosexual serial killer".

he never got the chance to be sentenced to death, he was beaten to death by his fellow inmates.

he was arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced in wisconsin. wisconsin abolished capital punishment in 1853.
