Cherry eye can sometimes be gently massaged back in (there are vids about how to do this online) but this doesn't always last. So you may have to resort to corrective surgery. However if you can avoid the surgery I would because it's true, you may be looking at a life-tme of putting drops in, to correct 'dry eye'.
Talk to your vet - hopefully you have one in your practice who specialises in eye conditions.

As there is an hereditary involvement with this condition, this dog should never be bred, and it might be a good idea to let whoever bred him know - in a non-confrontational way!! Stuff happens.

You might find this article interesting. Cherry eye is something that is MUCH less expensive to fix surgically if it is taken care of right away.
If the ruptured tear gland dries out, then the gland itself must be removed, and the dog can be left with life time issues with dry eyes.
You will have to consult with your vet as to the cost to repair this in the area where you live.

And? If you have an actual question ask your attending vet, not YA answers, as we aren't vets nor can anyone including a vet diagnose/treat your dog without examining it.
