If Canada was to mount an offensive against the states, it would be detected before the first F18 left the ground.
Secondly why would we want another Province with the problems the US has? We don't think like the Americans, who must think Canada is a part of the US, when you read some of the questions posted, by them in this forum.

First off, there has never been any talk in Canada about even contemplating an invasion of USA. At least not since 1812.
Second, everyone in the world understands that the Americans have one of the largest military forces in the world. I have no doubt that my Canadian military are well trained and force to be reckoned with, but it is still a numbers game. Between the active US troops, the army reserve, and the national guard, there are over a million US soldiers. Canada has only about 70,000 troops, and about 50,000 reservists. Combine that with the number of militias and gun-toting loyal Americans in USA, Canadians would have a tough time invading and holding one state never mind the continental US.
But the real question would be why Canada would even consider it? Americans have enough headaches to deal with... Terrorists want them dead, North Korea has been threatening to nuke them, drug cartels from Mexico are shipping their poison into the country, and even their own people are killing each other in mass shootings that seem to happen on a monthly if not weekly basis.
Don't worry about Canada. We have never been a country that initiated a war. We have helped finish a few, but never started one.

Hypothetically, if Canada was actually planning this they would never make it to the border. For Canada to mount a serious invasion, they would have to organize everyone of their assets which would be picked up by intelligence and satelites weeks before. Considering Canada has very little large land weaponry, such as tanks, they could conceivably be elusive by a sudden rush of mounted police and infantry across the border. But this would entail wandering though the forest in very remote wilderness for days before actually coming upon anything. This isnt very productive and would be likely spotted by border patrol quickly. Canada does have a navy fleets on both coast so quick strike on Boston or Seattle is possible, but again a mass organized movement will be obvious. The likely scenario here is all their ships sunk by sub torpedos and missiles within minutes. The only attack that would have much of a chance would be their air force quickly striking northern cities but no invasion.

At this time, not a chance. But if the Tea Baggers have their way and kill the federal government, the US will then become 50 separate countries. Once that happens, California, Texas and New York will survive as independent states. Maybe West Virginia. The rest will be conquered one at a time by Mexico and Canada.
But as long as the USA stays united, there is no chance at all it can ever be conquered by anyone.

I doubt Canada could even invade Alaska easily, lol. Chill out, Canada should enjoy being the ally of the USA, really.

Canada already has enough headaches to deal with, not that invading is feasible to begin with.

ARE YOU CRAZY.
We enjoy being the neighbour to a superpower and sharing the longest border in the world.

The Canadians would be hard pressed to over run and hold any one of the border ststesz

You do realize that we provide around 80% of the military force for protecting the continent, right? You don't have enough soldiers to successfully invade and hold Montana, let alone the entire contiguous 48 states.

Why would Canadians want that. The US comes with a lot of unfortunate baggage. I think we should invite Cuba to join us.
