Assad is well known to have created ISIS, Syria is not a nation anymore so bombing aSSad is also fighting terrorism along with nuking ISIS

Because we can't just go assassinate their leader. That would be an act of war and terrorism. We are bombing IS though. The US bombing with the intention to kill Assad would have the same results as if North Korea bombed DC, it would start a war and allies would join to help. So, if we actually killed Assad, Russia would most likely start aiding the Assad regime and eventually join the fight against the US.

Russia will shoot you out of the sky if you bomb Assad. Yes, Russia does have the upper hand in Syria.

Canada couldn't fight a war with iceland.
They have about thirty modern airplanes half of which are under maintenence at any given time.
Canada gets a free ride on National Defense because they know the US will protect them.
