I confronted my step father about sexually molesting me from the ages of 12 to 16. He apologized, and I accept. He won t have anything todo?

    you are in your 40's, so there really isn't any legal action you can take.

    And yes, it's okay to "forgive" him. This is for you, NOT for him.

    However, once a molester, always a molester. If he is around ANY kids, it's your DUTY to tell the parents.

    Of course he's going to apologize because he wants to sweep it under the rug. Why? Because once a molester, always a molester and he wants to do it to others.

    Molesters, pedophiles, whatever you prefer to call them, belong in prison. If you want to protect others from going through the same experience, contact the police.

    You don't know if he is truly sorry for sexually abusing you. I hope his apology is sincere. Your stepfather should see someone because he is a child molester. And he may hurt other children. Have you talked to someone about the sexual abuse? If you never talked to anyone, you should see a psychologist. Talking to someone is important.

    i wouldve said something back then when he was doing it so he wouldve been forced to stop
