Chance me for Ole Miss!?
Hello, i have applied to Ole Miss. I have a GPA of 2.5 to 2.7. I havent done SAT or ACT. I live in Spain but im Iranian. My low GPA is because of my bad spanish, i came to spain in 2011 and was placed in 10th grade, my mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and last year my parents got divorced. Do i stand a chance?

You have not taken SAT or ACT, whichever U Mississippi requires. And apparently you have not taken TOEFL, either. However, your grades are simply not acceptable, especially competing as an international student. Practically every applicant has had to overcome challenges of one sort or another, so your situation is not unique. Many have had to overcome far greater challenges.
Your chances of getting into Ole Miss - or any major US university - are poor. You really will have a hard time competing with all the international applicants trying to get into schools in the US.
You also have a problem regarding your student visa. What is your status in Spain? Will you be returning there or back to Iran? Student visas are temporary non-immigration visas issued on the condition that foreign students return to their country of citizenship immediately upon completion or termination of full-time studies. If you cannot prove you are going home, you're not getting a student visa.

Yes. Your GPA is low but you have had to deal with rather unfortunate circumstances. Admission committees do take this into account. Any rich white kid can get a 4.0, that doesn't make them any more able than you. Try to stay involved in outside activites and study for your SATs like your life depends on it. If you right a killer essay, I'm sure you have a very good shot.
