Sims 3 Mods Won t Work?
I ve done everything according to instructions posted on the modthesims/help page.
- Mods folder/.package folder/recourse ect...Made sure I had all that.
- Then I downloaded my content from modthesims/downloads/sims 3
- I extracted the files to the package folder.
From the instructions, that s all I should have to do. It didn t work, so I deleted everything and tried again. It still didn t work.
Then I found something else saying I should have a d3dx9_31.dll in the World
Adventures expansion pack. I downloaded that file into the World Adventures, hoping that it would work. But my mods still did not work. I am out of ideas and I don t know what to do now. Help?

It appears you read some information on the old ways of installing custom content while trying to figure out why your mods/cc wouldn't work. In a patched game, there is nothing that needs to be put in your C:\Program Files, which is where the World Adventures expansion pack is. Delete that d3dx9_31.dll file you put in there and realize you currently should not be using the C:\Program Files at all, as all mods/cc are to be put in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 only.
Since you put up another question that shows you have gotten some of your mods/cc to work, I will answer there instead of addressing the rest here.

Did you unzip them in winrar or a different program? Search a tutorial on youtube, they really help.
