Is the American Medical Association a powerful trade union that limits the supply of doctors and hospitals?

    Now you got it.

    They decide how many doctors are produced every year.

    Roughly ten times as many applicants apply for medical school as thirty years ago. Most have identical qualifications.

    It is not a trade or any other type of union. You can read what they do here. They dont control hospitals and doctors practices.

    Uhm, no . . . its right there in the name of the group - "Association" not "Union".
