Sims 3 Custom Content Won't Show?

Ok so, anything like clothes, hair, outfits, skins, appearance ect...and anything having to do with special effects or furniture shows up in my game.

What is not showing up, is the custom content sims and custom content houses I download. I noticed something in the edit town when I was looking for the houses, and it said unhide custom content, but it wouldn't let me click that. Help?

It's good to see that you have managed to get most of your mods/cc to show up that you put in your Mods/Packages folder. Custom content sims and houses should be easier as they are not .package files but .sims3pack files. These .sims3pack files should be extracted to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. Check to make sure that's where you put those kind of files. The Launcher installs these into your game.

If they are in the Downloads folder, open the Launcher and look for any content that appears to be greyed out, which means it hasn't been installed yet. Click the box next to it and press the install button. Don't try to have the Launcher install too many at once as it bogs down easily. House files are big so it's best to do one at a time. When the launcher says Success! you will find them in your library in Edit Town without needing to use unhide custom content. If that is greyed out in your game, it's only because the content is not installed.

One other thing you should do to make sure all your mods/cc shows up in game is clear your cache files any time you add or remove stuff. The game loads from these old cache files without always checking to see if something may have changed.
