You are absolutely right. It is a myth created and sustained by con artists.

You can see one person who lives in Australia and wants to remain anonymous is calling weather climate and local global. They are a mixed up bag. Every Australian should realize that it is a myth. At first the Australians were smart enough not to sign on to Kyoto. Then when they did, the UN had a big retroactive bill for them. And for a few years they were paying the UN $400 Billion a year for Global Warming. Taxes went up. People were hurting. Then sanity was restored by a change in leadership.

After all that money given to the UN, what did Australia have to show for it, especially climatewise? Absolutely nothing! The myth of Global Warming intensified. The atmosphere was obviously unaffected by that $400 Billion per year. All that money and these con artists cannot even prove that Earth's temperature is rising. Let us look at the real reason for this 'myth'.

Quote by Ottmar Edenhoffer, high level UN-IPCC official: "We redistribute de facto the world's wealth by climate policy...Basically it's a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization...One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore."

So even the leaders admit it is a myth. But it is a myth that they use to gain billions of dollars out of the poor working stiff's pockets and into theirs. Ottmar, a UN official, came right out and admitted it. Do you need any more convincing?

Well, OK, here is another use for that myth.

Quote by Christine Stewart, former Canadian Environment Minister: “No matter if the science is all phony, there are collateral environmental benefits.... climate change [provides] the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world.”

'Justice and equality' are codewords for Communism. They use this myth to take the whole globe down the road to Communism or some other tyrannical rulership. Here is their stated goal.

Quote from the UN's Own "Agenda 21": "Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both governments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level."

So you can see that the powers that be want to strip the common Joe of his money then totally subjugate him. And they use this terrifying myth to accomplish this evil deed.

Yes it is a myth, in fact, a horrible myth, one on which the perpetrators do not have the best interests of you or me at heart.

Global warming is not a myth. To you it may seem that the summer you had was colder than usual, but it is about the average over the entire year - the global average has been rising for a while now. Humans have been polluting this planet for a long time - there must be an effect. Global warming is that effect.

P.S. What country do you live in?! Here in Australia summer finished about a week and a half ago, and it was the hottest one we've felt in ages! Consistent temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius (that's 95 for you if you use Fahrenheit).

The key word here is "global." That doesn't mean that where you live it'll be warmer. Global warming refers to the entire planet getting warmer on average.

As far as it being a myth, we know that our planet has had slightly warmer weather, as a whole, compared to decades past. Now if this is just a cycle soon to end or a sing of Armageddon, that I can't say. Some seem to think it's nothing. Others think that even an increase of a degree or two will have devastating consequences on life as we know it.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Nothing is going to stop anyone from possibly contributing to the proposed problem of global warming unless there comes a day that it's too late to do anything anyway.

You cannot tell with a single year or even a decade, that is too short a term, they are talking climate change not weather.

Saying that though, it is not looking good for the global warming theory the experts had all predicted it would be a lot warmer by now, and there doesn't look like there is much correlation between CO2 levels and global temperatures.

Global warming is NOT a myth. People on earth pollute and let off greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions weaken our atmosphere, letting more of the sunrays penetrate the earth's layer and warm up the earth. The overal heating effect contributes to the melting of glaciers. When glaciers melt, they let off non-salty water into oceans. This disrupts the great conveyor belt that moves warm/cold water around the globe, heloing to regulate temperatures. When all of this changes, the earth's climate changes too.

No,not at all.Global warming is a heating agenda for all countries. If you have been facing cool summers, then someone around the world would have been facing warmer winters or vice versa.According to you global warming is the rise in temperature.Well not exactly.Assume that there is rise in temperature in Europe and hence it would become area generating Winds .These sudden unexpected winds would effect other countries in many ways like storms ,cyclones...

    Thanks and hope it help

Global warming and cooling happens in cycles every few millin years, not a myth, we will have another ice age and more global warming and more ice ages, its already happened over eons on this planet.

GREAT QUESTION! I tend to not think it's real. I've written extensively on it on a blog. I don't know for certain, but almost certain that the data shows no GW. Personally, I think GW or climate change for that matter, would be a pretty good thing. Besides the fact that I like photographing storms from my backyard for quite some time, climate is pretty fascinating, no matter how long we study it. The climatic cycles here on Earth are pretty complex IMO, & they could be VERY LONG term, meaning we won't even start to notice it until say, in a few decades. Who knows, it could very well be an even longer process. However, I think the topic of climate has not been raised in vain. After all, we could all learn some very intriguing facts from the research. We are getting ahead of ourselves.

Global warming is a fact. Look at a century old photograph of any glacier in the world then look at a photo taken from the same spot on the same day of the year now. Look at ice coverage maps of the north and south poles a century ago and this year.

As a denialist, I add you to my list of prayers for mental healing.

No, Global warming is real. Climate is the average temperature over a large range of time.
