Will this go against a rental approval?

I have been working in a job for 4 years, which overall I have been very good at, but lately as there has been tension in our unit between managers and the old work has diminished, I've become a bit jaded since the new work isn't suited to me. it's very boring/dull, and I'm looking for a new job/work, and planning to leave.

I also want to move house, into a flat, but then due to being jaded I had poor attendance and got written up, but since then I've fallen into line since I know it's not in my interest.

Now though, I have to get a work reference, and this is obviously on my record. Does it preclude me from renting this property, which is in a good area, and even if my overall work history is very good?

No idea and no one else will, "work referencing" is only interested in how long you have been working for the company and that you are continuing to work there, if they start writing that you are a poor attender with a poor attitude then it will hold weight as it shows that you are someone who when things go wrong then you don't care......... so a landlord doesn't need that type of tenant in their property as it suggests you may choose to flake out and leave breaking your contract and that costs the landlord their income when they have to take you to court
