Land Lord and Tenant Meetings?

Update:

I own a cabin on leased land in the mountains of another state. The tenant association always meets the first week in May without the landlady present. Afterwards, the landlady comes in to meet with us. The lease states that the landlady meeting is mandatory and there will be fines for non-attendance. My husband and I are having a difference of opinion. I do not believe the landlady can enforce charging us fines for non-attendance. My husband thinks she can. Thoughts anyone?

" The lease states that the landlady meeting is mandatory and there will be fines for non-attendance." Legal contract you signed, so legally can be enforced...whether the landlady would win or not depends on the judge and court, however it leans towards legal signed contract and breach of that if tenant doesn't attend
