Why do many Americans believe the myth that Europe is overrun by Muslims?

I'm German, and I lived in Berlin for quite a while, and that is THE city with the highest muslim population in all of Germany. And, tell you what: You can see they are turkish by complexion, because you can't hide your skin, but I feel that most of them are as much muslim than I am roman catholic. Which means, not at all.

but, places like Paris, London, Brussels, Gotheburg are swarmed by muslims. And I'm european too, and I think that there are far too many muslim immigrants in Europe and just few countries trying to do anything, to stop them. Other like Germny and Sweden are even encouraging them to migrate here!

Lack of proper education, and believing despots like Trump.

It would take several decades for that to happen, but it isn't likely. What is far more likely is for secularism to take hold in many countries.

It does noty look as a myth at the moment, looking at what is happening in Greece and Macedonia and Italy and Germany and France and Belgium and England......

It's called Media brain washing.

I think it's to distract them from all the horrible things going on in America. Also to promote xenophobia.

While there is a certain amount of truth in it, much of the way people see it is influenced by the media and how they address this issue.

Good. Europe can have them Muslims.

Because they believe the scaremongering right-wing media when it is demonizing Muslims.

Its not a myth its a sad reality,and Nationalists need to fight Muslim and Subsaharan immigrants before its too late !!
