Why do Americans care about what goes on in Europe?

Don't you have problems of your own to deal with?

Common American people don't. But American politicians yes. They involve in all inner domestic issues in European countries.

For example Macedonia - that small country is practically ruled by USA ambassador there. The legal institutions are paralized and decisions are issued by US Embassy on the hill called Kale.

    Weird !

I am an American apprentice idiot of German descent, with curiosity about everything, everywhere. Okay, some people call it being nosy, but haters gonna hate.

Seriously, I hope to benefit by Europe's experience and avoid her mistakes. Yes, we have decidedly more ridiculous problems than Europe (Trump) that ought to keep us occupied but we have a notoriously short attention span.

Because we Europeans take care of you Americans too. It's because we love you. And I mean that on a personal level, forget the government. It's always been that way, and all white Americans are basically Europeans, so what? OF COURSE we are one tribe, what else?

Sure we have problems to deal with, but they are ours, and yours are yours.

I'm American and I don't care about Europe. Europeans are obsessed with us. I'm interested in Japan and India.

MOST Americans have European roots. For example, I am German, Irish, and English. And, yes, I DO care about my ancestral homes.

Sure we do, but we are interested just like Europe is interested in the US.

Because some things in the world affect everyone - so hiding your head in the sand ostrich-style won't change the fact.
