Is "It" by Stephen King appropriate for my age?
I've been reading a lot lately, and I want to try and take on something bigger, so I want to start reading Stephen King. I want to read it, but is it appropriate for my age (11)? If not, can you recommend some other SK books? Thanks in advance!
What about 11-22-63? It's on my kindle, and I want to read it.

I didn't really enjoy It and I think 11 may be too young for some of the book. But hey, I'm not your parents, read what you like.
11/22/63 is good. But I'm beginning to think that SK needs an editor to remind him that not every book needs to be 1500+ pages.
My favorite SK Books
Different Seasons - 4 novellas. Two have been made into very good movies
Night Shift - a collection of wonderful and awe-full short stories.
Needful Things - Evil comes to a small town offering everyone what they most desire.
And I agree with cathugger on these:
The Shining (her first SK) - The classic ghost story. The sequel, [Dr. Sleep] is worth reading as well
The Talisman (a great book for your age, by SK and Peter Straub) I love his book. A combination of fantasy/quest/horror and great storytelling. The sequel Dark House is a more grown up version of a quest novel.
The Stand (my favorite) an epic good vs evil in a dystopian future-epic story
I also enjoyed Finders Keepers. Only 454 pages - and the story just flies.

I don't think It is a particularly good book of SK's but you could probably read it.
The ones I read when younger are:
The Shining (my first SK)
The Talisman (a great book for your age, by SK and Peter Straub)
Christine
The Stand
And also check out the books of Ray Bradbury like Something Wicked This Way Comes, The Illustrated Man, October Country. AND check out Swan Song by Robert McCammon.
