IMO - I think you need to really know that you are mature caring and responsible enuff to really mean it when you say you will never leave her again and include not acting like an insecure jerk. I mean, if you care about her as much as you say you shouldn't even want to think about her being hurt ever, especially by you. So ask yourself - are you strong enuff to do right by this girl or are you strong enuff to let her alone if you even think you re going there again?

It is more than what YOU want. It centers very much around caring about what other people's needs are also.

Also - ask yourself if you would be so intent in taking back a girl who was an insecure jerk to you, and if so - what does that say about your self esteem? Now, flip that around and really consider if you want this kind of relationship. Not saying she is a weak little thing, but you have to look at the character of the type of person who is ok with being treated less than great. Maybe she likes you, but then again maybe she is not the best match for you if she is willing to put up with someone who treats her like you did.
